1. Village Merchants
Where: 3360 SE Division St
What: The selection here is pretty incredible. Furniture, bikes, clothing, books, toys, household goods. Prices are fair and Village Merchants will buy your stuff, too. It's best to call ahead and make an appointment.
2. Red Light Clothing Exchange
Where: 3590 SE Hawthorne Blvd
What: If you can stand the high hipster factor and less-than-friendly staff, there are some amazing finds at Red Light. Prices can be higher than other thrift shops, but you can also make a good amount of cash if you come here to sell your own, super-cool clothes.
3. Here We Go Again
Where: 2438 NE Broadway Street and 0511 SW Carolina Street
What: For the frugal fashionista, Here We Go Again is an ever-changing array of shoes and clothing for women. They consign newer clothes (from the past two years) in good condition, too.
4. Seams to Fit
Where: 2264 NW Raleigh St
What: Love designer clothes but don't want to spend your entire paycheck on them? Head to Seams to Fit, where they resell brand names like Prada, Marni, and Gucci. Consignments are accepted, but they've gotta be top-notch.
5. Savvy Plus
Where: 3204 SE Hawthorne Blvd.
What: Finally, a resale store for plus-sized ladies. No more digging through the racks for the few items that might fit. And Savvy Plus sells new clothing, too. Got consignments in sizes 12 and up? Bring 'em in.
