Enjoy Tax-Free Shopping in Oregon

By , About.com Guide

If you’re new to the city or just visiting, you’ll notice that there’s something missing from the Oregon shopping experience: sales tax.

That means when you’re out shopping, dining, even buying groceries, you’ll pay the price of what you’re buying with NOTHING added. It’s wonderful.

Oregon residents who venture to Washington for shopping can show their ID and avoid paying sales tax there as well.

The no-sales-tax rule also applies to online orders, as long as they’re shipped to an Oregon address.
