Shopping Malls in Portland Oregon


Sometimes, you just need to go to the mall. Here's a rundown of the Portland area's major malls and shopping centers.

Pioneer Place
A downtown mall filled with upscale stores, many of which you can't find elsewhere in Portland. There's also a movie theater on the top floor and a nice food court on the lower level.

Department/Anchor stores: Saks Fifth Avenue (Nordstrom and Macy's are both within a block of Pioneer Place)

Lloyd Center
Oregon’s largest mall, featuring an indoor ice skating rink, food court, and movie theater.

Department/Anchor stores: Sears, Nordstrom, Macy's, Marshalls, Ross, Barnes & Noble

Lloyd Center is in the Irvington neighborhood in NE Portland. The address is:

How to get there from downtown:
Take the Burnside, Morrison or Hawthorne bridge across the river and
 turn left onto Grand Ave.
 Take Grand all the way to NE Multnomah and 
turn right. 
Lloyd Center is 5 blocks up on the left.

Washington Square Mall
Completely remodeled in 1994, this mall features Oregon’s largest Nordstrom and high-end stores such as Pottery Barn Kids, Willliams-Sonoma, and Sephora.

Where it is:
Washington Square is located south of downtown Portland. It takes about 15 - 20 minutes to drive there from downtown.

How to get there from downtown:
Take I-5 S toward Salem. Take the OR-99W exit (294) toward Tigard / Newberg. Take a slight right onto SW Barbur Blvd / OR-99W / Pacific Hwy. Follow OR-99W / PACIFIC HWY W and merge onto 217 N toward Beaverton / Sunset Highway. Take the Greenburg Rd (exit 5) toward Metzger. Turn right onto SW Greenburg Rd. Turn Left onto SW Washington Square Rd. End at 9585 SW Washington Square Rd

Bridgeport Village
This shopping center is home to many exclusive shops, both regional and national. Crate and Barrel, Anthropologie, and Z Gallery all have locations here. There’s an 18-screen movie theater and a variety of restaurants including P.F. Changs and California Pizza Kitchen.

Bridgeport Village is a few miles south of downtown Portland in Tigard, OR.

How to get there from downtown:
Take I-5 south to exit 290. Turn right onto Lower Boones Ferry Road (which turns into Bridgeport Rd). Drive straight through intersection of Lower Boone Ferry Road and SW 72nd Avenue. Turn right into Bridgeport Village's main entrance.

Jantzen Beach SuperCenter
This shopping center is comprised of several strip malls and one larger mall. It’s home to many big-box retail stores such as Home Depot, Target, and Circuit City.

Where it is:
Janzten Beach is about 15 minutes north of downtown Portland, near the Washington border. 1405 Jantzen Beach Center

Take I-5 North to exit 308. Follow signs for Jantzen Beach SuperCenter.

Clackamas Town Center
Just a few minutes south of Portland, this suburban mall has everything you’d expect. Also nearby is the Clackamas Promenade shopping center, with Target, Old Navy, and Nordstrom Rack.

Clackamas Town Center is east of downtown Portland, about 15 minutes away from downtown.

Columbia Gorge Premium Outlets
This is the closest outlet mall to Portland. Bargain hunters will enjoy marked down merchandise at stores like Adidas, Gap Outlet, and Harry and David.

Woodburn Company Stores
This ever-growing outlet mall is north of Salem and is home to some hard-to-find outlets such as Chico’s, White House/Black Market, and Guess. It takes about 30 to 40 minutes to get there from Portland.

How to get there from downtown:
Take I-5 South to the Woodburn exit 271 / Hwy 214. Turn right at the signal. Turn right again at Arney Road.
