Portland Park - Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge

What:

The Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge is a 160-acre wetland area that’s owned by the City of Portland. Oaks Bottom is a popular bird-watching destination, as the park is home to hawks, blue herons, woodpeckers, quail, and many more bird species. There’s a 2-mile hiking trail and a biking trail that connects to the Springwater Corridor.

Where:

Located along the east bank of the Willamette River in the Sellwood neighborhood. There are two main entrances to the park. One is located along SE Milwaukie Boulevard, and the other is at Sellwood Park. Get detailed, family-friendly instructions on hiking trails Portland Family Adventures.

When:

The park is open every day from 5 a.m. to midnight.
