Be responsible! When pet owners dont abide by the leash and scoop laws, it gives dog-owners a bad name. When youre out and about with your dog, there are a few golden rules to remember:
1) Always pick up the poop. Plastic bags are a dog-owners best friend. Tie a few to the leash and youll always have one handy. Fine for breaking the scoop law: $150 per incident.
2) Take advantage of off-leash areas, like the one at Mount Tabor. But when youre not in the designated off-leash area, keep your dog on a leash. Fine for breaking the leash law: $150 per incident.
3) Be aware that not everyone loves your furry friend as much as you do, and that even the friendliest dog can scare people, especially children. Assume that everyone you see does NOT want to come into contact with your dog. If they want to say hello, let them approach you.
