Explore the science behind your (and your children’s) favorite cartoons. OMSI has teamed up with the Cartoon Network to present an exhibit all about animation.

Exhibit Details:

The exhibit features six themed areas.

History – See how old animation worked, and try out an old-fashioned mutoscope.

Animation Studio – Learn about all the steps are for creating a cartoon, and develop your own storyboard.

Art in Motion – Discover why art and math are important parts of animation, and explore the illusion of movement.

Sound and Stage – Find out what it takes to add audio to cartoons, and hear your own voice in a silent animation.

Cartoon Museum – View clips and drawings from popular cartoons in an intimate theater setting.
