1. City Repair's Earth Day Celebration
When: Saturday, April 23, 2011, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
What: A free, all-day event featuring kids' activities, live music, public speakers, a 30-ft Geodesic dome, workshops and classes, community art projects, and community service projects.
Where: Washington High School Field, SE 14th and Stark
2. Oregon Garden's Earth Day Celebration
When: April 16, 2011
What: A free event that features exhibitors, demonstrations, a tree give-away, live music, food, and more.
Where: The Oregon Garden is located at 879 West Main Street in Silverton, Oregon
3. Earth Day Events with Solv-It
When: Saturday, April 16, 2011, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
What: Opportunities for volunteering including cleanup of litter and illegal dumpsites, invasive plant removal, native tree and shrub planting, and watershed maintenance and monitoring.

4. Portland State University Earth Day Festival
When: Friday, April 22, 2011, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
What: A student-run event, this year marks the 4th annual Earth Day festival. The event features outdoor music performances, speakers, food, community groups, vendors, sustainable demonstrations, and more.
Where: South Park Blocks, Portland State University
5. Earth Day Run
When: Saturday, April 23, 2011
What: 5k, 10k and Kids' race plus a family-friendly event with live music, organic beer, food, and information booths focusing on health, wellness, and sustainable living.
Where: Earth Advantage National Center - 16280 SW Upper Boones Ferry Road
6. Alberta Street: The Deep Clean
When: Saturday – April 23, 2011, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
What: An event that invites volunteers to pick up trash along NE Alberta street. Prizes will be awarded at the Golden Garbage Awards and participants are invited to come in costume.
