When it's luxury you crave, look no further than the Nines. Located inside the Macy's building and just across from Pioneer Courthouse Square, the Nines' is in the thick of the city. While prices at the Nines aren't the most bargain-friendly, they often run specials, so check for deals.2. Hotel DeLuxe
3. The Heathman Hotel
Where: 1001 SW BroadwayWhat: If you're looking for a class-act, choose the Heathman. This hotel has been a Portland favorite since, and has been rated one of the world's top 500 hotels by Travel + Leisure. The location, right smack in the middle of downtown, is extremely convenient. Plus, the Heathman restaurant is a destination in itself.
4. Hotel Modera

What: One of the newer hotels in the city, Hotel Modera has an upscale vibe without the huge price tag. If you appreciate a modern aesthetic and little extras like free wi-fi, Hotel Modera should be on your "places to sleep" list. The attached restaurant, Nel Centro, is known for its seafood and pasta dishes as well as its lovely patio.
