Free Movies at Hotel deLuxe

Come See a Flick Every Third Sunday

The movie night at Hotel deLuxe, formerly the Mallory hotel, isn't just for hotel guests. The regular event, which occurs the third Sunday of each month, is held in the Screening Room of the hotel, which is inspired by Hollywood film.

Space is limited to approximately 40 guests, so reserve your spot by calling the Sunday Movie Night phone line at 503.219.8627 for reservations. The hotel is located at 729 SW 15th Avenue.

PYEONGTAEK Struggles of South Korea for Land
Filmmaker: Miae Kim

Miae Kim is an award-winning filmmaker whose work has been aired locally, nationally, and internationally. Her film Pyeongtaek is a documentary blends news footage, photographs, and interviews to tell the story of South Korean farm villages are being destroyed for the expansion of the U.S. military base, threatening the villagers safety, livelihood, and freedom. Supporters from across Korea and the world have come to the villagers’ side. As plans for the base’s expansion continue, armed police escort demolition crews to tear down the villagers’ houses, the remaining residents, many elderly farmers, wonder what will happen next when they will be forced off their land.
