Find out how to keep the kids safe in all kinds of conditions. Stations will provide tips in areas such as water, poison, transportation, helmet and fire safety.

Cinco de Mayo Walk/Run
Starts and finishes on Naito near the Salmon St. fountain

A half marathon, a 5k, 10k, and kids' race to benefit Foundation for Retinal Research. After the race, enjoy food from Azteca Mexican restaurants and live Mariachi music!

Indie Wine Festival
Bison Building, 419 NE 10th Avenue
Taste wines from the little guys. This festival features smaller winemakers from Oregon. In addition to tasting wines, you’ll sample fare from local chefs and have an opportunity to learn about the craft of winemaking.

$75 for general admission, $125 for VIP admission. Get tickets online or at the door.

Oregon Humane Society Doggie Dash
Tom McCall Waterfront Park in downtown Portland (Naito Parkway and SW Pine)
A 1.5 or 2.5-mile run/walk to benefit the Oregon Humane Society. Also enjoy silly pet tricks, contests, free pet advice, and pet picture-taking. $10 – $25. Visit the registration page for details.

Irvington Home Tour
See the historic homes of Irvington, one of Portland’s most beautiful neighborhoods. This year marks the 29th anniversary of the tour. May 21 – 23

Brewers Memorial Ale Fest
Rogue Ales Brewery
2320 OSU Drive (in Newport, Oregon)
A brew-fest that benefits the Oregon Humane Society! Events include a brewer’s dinner, dog wash, dog wash and doggie Olympics. Live music, 30+ breweries, and array of food and art vendor booths.

$10 admission (includes a festival mug and 3 tasting tokens)

Reach the Beach
A bike ride to benefit the American Lung Association. Choose between five different routes (26 – 100 miles) that take you through Oregon's wine country, lush forests, and cute little towns. The ride ends at beautiful Cape Kiwanda in Pacific City on the Oregon Coast.

Oregon Humane Society Pug Crawl
MacTarnahan's Tap Room - 2730 NW 31st Ave
Bring your pug or just bring a camera. This event features a pug costume contest, a Pug kissing booth, doggie goodies for sale, and other dog-gone cute stuff. It all benefits the Oregon Humane Society.
$10 for adults, kids and pugs get in free.

$20 per person, proceeds go toward the association’s charitable giving fund. See website for ticket information.
