Fertile Ground Festival
What: Dubbed "a city-wide new works arts festival," Fertile Ground brings new light to local artworks. The 10-day festival features theater, dance, visual arts projects and more.

The Canadian Tenors with the Oregon Symphony
Canada's "national treasure" has appeared on Oprah, at the NBA All-Star Game and at the Vancouver Olympics. Now they join the Oregon Symphony once again for a one-night performance in Portland.

Portland Seafood & Wine Festival
What: The name tells most of the story -- tons of seafood and over 50 wineries pouring will make it a great weekend. There will also be plenty of live music to accompany you along your eating and drinking way.

When: Friday, 2 p.m.-10 p.m.; Saturday, Noon-10 p.m.

Lewis Black -- The Rant is Due Tour

What: Lewis Black brings his unique flavor of rant-filled comedy to Portland. Now's your chance to see the Grammy- and Emmy-winning comedian in action.
