Perhaps traditional caroling and sipping egg nog in a refined style isn't your preferred method for celebrating the holidays. Fear not -- Portland always brings unorthodox options.
SantaCon, and the several spin-off events it has spurred, is here for those who like their Santas to blend a little naughty with their nice. The events are more flash mob than organized, but they're guaranteed to entertain, and they're free to attend -- just buy your drinks.
The rules are simple, although they vary a bit between Santa barhopping session -- and there are now four of them in Portland! Primarily they consist of keeping things relatively in check and dressing like a Santa, elf or something similar.
