It's Turn Off Your TV Week!

From Nancy Levenson, About.com GuideApril 20, 2009

What would you do if you didn't watch any TV this week? That's the challenge of this national effort, lead by the Center for Screen-Time Awareness. The idea is to promote more active, healthier families through "real-time" experiences that don't involve a screen (hey, great idea!).

This week, the sunny, warm weather will try its hardest to tempt you outdoors, so the timing is pretty great. It's the ideal week to dust off the bike, work in the garden, or go to the park with a blanket, a good book, and a day's supply of lemonade.

And if you're itching to get out of town, check out this guide to playing in the snow. It gives you the run-down on skiing, snowshoeing, or sledding at a snow park near Mount Hood.

The sunny weather will definitely help! And with Earth Day this week, what a better reason to unplug and get outside.

I’ve put some new ideas together here for any readers looking to fill some time: http://twurl.nl/h73y0s
