Free Shipping at Powell's Books

Thursday November 20, 2008
Just in case you need another reason to shop at Powell's, here's one: When you spend $50 or more, they'll ship your items for free. The idea of free shipping may not seem that appealing since you can just as easily go to the store, but it comes in very handy when you are sending gifts because you can skip the steps of going to the store, wrapping up the books, and waiting in line at the post office. And if paying for postage makes you as grumpy as it makes me, this will appeal to you even more.

Also, not every Powell's location has every book, so if you order online, you won't have to both checking if a specific store has the book you want.

Yes, of course the bigger websites have free shipping for smaller purchases, but I encourage you to consider shopping at Powell's instead, because they need our support.

Find out the other reasons why Portlanders love Powell's Books.
