Better Than a Cab (Cheaper, Too!)

Sunday June 1, 2008
We all know that drinking and driving is a bad idea. So, for those nights of imbibing, having a designated driver is a smart move. But sometimes, it just doesn't work out. When you have your car with you, it can be tempting to drive, even when it might not be the safest option.

Now, there's a service in Portland that will come pick you up at the bar and drive you home in your own car for only $10. When you need a ride, just give RideOn a call at 503.235.RIDE and they'll try to be there within 15 minutes. RideOn's service area is close-in Portland. You can see the map at their website. This is not-for-profit service, operated by volunteers. If you have a car and you're willing to help out the cause, get in touch with RideOn.
