Three More Portland Restaurants: Gone!

Friday May 16, 2008
The Portland restaurant scene just shrank a bit with the closing of three spots:

Mark Lindsay's Rock N Roll Cafe
4160 N.E. Sandy Blvd

D.F.
1139 NW 11th Ave

Taqueria Nueve
28 NE 28th Ave

Considering the crowds at Taqueria Nueve, I was surprised to hear that news. High-end Mexican food is a tough sell in Portland, apparently. Luckily there are still places to get great tacos like ¿Por Qué No?. If you haven't been over there, it's well worth the trip to 3524 N Mississippi. If you have another taco spot that's not to be missed, please spread the word by leaving a comment below.

I wanted to go to Taqueria Nueve on my birthday, but that morning I found out it was closed. Crap! Now where am I going to get my fill of wild boar tacos?!

Haven’t been to D.F.

Good riddance to the rock n roll cafe though.
